700 g | Oxtail |
3 tbsp | Chili paste (cili giling) |
4 | Red onions |
6 cloves | Garlic |
1 inch | Ginger |
1/2 cup | San Remo Tomato Onion & Garlic Pasta Sauce |
1/2 cup | Ketchup |
2 | Eggs, beaten |
2 tbsp | Plain flour + 2 tbsp water |
2 | Soup spices (sup bunjut) |
3 tbsp | Sugar |
Salt to taste | |

Method
- Cook San Remo Bowties according to the packet instructions.
- Boil oxtail together with soup spices until tender.
- Blend red onions, garlic and ginger. Sauté blended ingredients with chili paste until fragrant.
- Add in San Remo Tomato Onion & Garlic Pasta Sauce, sugar and salt. Pour in oxtail and the stock, simmer for 1 hour 30 minutes. Add in flour mixture, ketchup and eggs. Stir well.
- Add in San Remo Bowties. Garnish and serve warm.
